Summer Time

Summer is in full swing here in KY. Even though we have had some weeks that were blazin hot, I keep reminding myself of what I feel like in January/February when it has been cold and snowy for 4 months straight, it makes me thankful for the heat! We are blessed to have a great pool at our apt complex and use it often. Especially when Ben gets home from a long hot day working landscaping.

The little man went to the Dr today and is doing wonderfully. Here are the stats, just because they are fresh in my mind:

Weight: 16 lbs 10 oz
length: 26 1/2 inches long

So in baby land, he is in the 75th percentile for weight and in the 95th percentile for his height....hum tall and lankey maybe?, wonder who that kids parents are?

He also got 3 shots. Dad was there today and got to help the little trooper through it. Shot #1 was not so bad, shot #2 got a sad face and some wimpers and by shot #3 it was an all out wail. But the tough guy was ok once daddy scooped him up and cuddeled him a bit.

We gave him rice cereal last night for the first time which was hilarious. His facial expressions were a mix of confusion and disgust. We got it on video so I'll post that soon. I was actually really really sad to give him cereal. I have loved breastfeeding the little guy so far. I always thought moms were weird for saying this, but I think I might cry when he is all done and completely on solid food...

Little Man and Dad on July 4th

Our friends David and Anna- they are expecting at the end of Dec. The 5 of us walked down to a little street fair they had for 4th of July in our neighborhood. It rained the whole time...but was still pretty warm

David held Noah almost the whole time, getting a little practice in

We went to Hubers last weekend and this was a baby cow that Ben loved to let suck on his finger.

By the end of the day these two are pooped. So sweet

We have taken Noah in the pool a few times. He really doesn't seem to mind. Sometimes it is a little too cold for him, but most of the time he just sits in his floaty and kicks his feet.

He is happy in the pool that is if Dad doesn't dunk him....I think this picture was right after Ben dunked him....(Please note Ben's awesome farmers tan)

And the wail

And happy again

Noah LOVES his thumb, He is constantly sucking on either his fist or his thumb, its pretty cute even though I'm dreading this "bad" habit when he is older.

All around, he is a really happy baby. He is always smiling and laughing.

Big Blues....

Not sure where these big beautiful blue eyes came from...Ben and mine are both brown, Ben says it was the mail man, I say it was the milk maid

The boy loves his nap time

Noah has finally got on a consistant nap schedule for the past month or so. It is like clock work, no matter where he his, if its nap time, he is all in. The other day I wasn't paying attention to the time and walked into the room to find him like this....too cute.

Umpa Loompa do pa dee do....

Ben got some new wrk gloves for his B-Day and when we was done at the end of the day this is the result. Even better, we were going out for our anniversary that night at a nice restaurant. So Ben had to use my Mary Kay exfoliant scrub and litterly scrub the top layer of skin off his hands to get them sort of back to regular color....oh the little things in life are hilarious.

We love the Jump-A-Roo!!

Noah just got to the point where he can sit in his Jump-A-Roo and his tippy toes hit the ground. Every time it jumps little lights come on and it plays a little song. It is so much fun watching him figure things out and intently stare at the little animals. Its like you can just see all the little synapsus connecting in his brain. Not to mention that I can have a little time to get stuff done while he is awake. Right now he will literaly sit in it for an hour, such a content baby!

Noah's 3 month pictures

Noah and I went to get his pictures taken today. Of course he was all smiles while we waited, and then once it was picture time the smiles were few and far between. We caught a few though.

More going home....

I got a little distracted and didn't finish posting the rest of the pictures of our trip back home. Noah and I flew out to Sacramento on the 6th and Ben flew down to Corpus Christi to help his brother Josh drive all of their stuff back to California. Noah and I hung out with Ben's mom & dad and then once Ben got into California we headed over to the ovean to spend some time with my parents. It was so great to see family and to get to introduce them to Noah.
