Ben and I are just floored this summer by the ways that the Lord has chosen to take care of us. One of those ways is the new nanny job that I just started last week. I had originally lined up a full time nanny job with a girl I used to work with at Humana that was going to start around this time in Aug when she went back to work. But when it came down to it they were only willing to pay $75 a week for full time, and we just couldn't financially do that. So I started looking on the Southern website and local college websites for a full or part time nanny job. Ben and I thought this might be the best route for me to make some extra money because would have the opportunity to take Noah with me. I was sort of planning on going back to work after Noah was born possibly part time, but really couldn't bear the thought of leaving him all day and missing out on him during the day. I talked with a few people and even met with a few prospective familys and came across the two familys I now work for. They are sisters and have had babies 2 weeks apart, (Sounds a little familiar). Both mommies were going back to work and wanted to do a nanny share. We were all a little skeptical as to how it would work out for me to have 3 babies all day long, Noah who is 5 months and Lane and Joseph who are both 3 months. The first day I was exhusted, but after week #2, I feel really good about it and have got them all on a schedule (when they all cooperate!) The other 2 little ones are great babies and have great personalities. I did however get a little sick of changing poopy diapers yesterday. I think each of them had about 3 each...But I am very very thankful for this provision for our family. I only work 3 days a week and they are paying me $200/ week! I was hoping to get $200 a week for full time and this is only 3 days. So the Lord knew what we needed and provided the perfect job. I love getting to be with Noah all day and even get those bonus days when I don't work to just hang out with him. Thanks to every one who has been praying for us. Lord willing we only have 2 semesters to go!
This morning on our "day off" Noah and I just hung out in bed for a while. He is so much fun.
